When did you start working with Fuchsia Design?
January 2016
What do you do at Fuchsia Design?
I create 3D computer renderings based on Autumn’s fabulous designs and Nadia’s detailed drawings.
What’s your favorite part of working with Fuchsia Design?
I love seeing Autumn’s work come together in a rendering. Nothing bridges the gap between a design and client understanding like great renderings!
What would be your ideal day?
I’d wake up without an alarm and take time enjoying my coffee. If I have work to do, I’ll head outside to a picnic table. No work? I’ll take a bike ride or hike. We’d have dinner on a patio and then head to a concert or a movie.
If you could choose any dinner for your birthday, what would be it?
The fancy side of me says veggie sushi with wasabi, ginger and an unhealthy amount of soy sauce. But the other 95% of me says loaded veggie pizza and my own bag of potato chips.
Tell us a little bit about your family
I’ve been married for almost 7 years. We grew up in the same small town in mid-Michigan and have been friends since we were teenagers.
If you could do anything you wanted right now, what would it be?
I’d go kayaking at some exotic location. Down a river with enough current I don’t really have to work for it. I’m also going to need a floating cooler with snacks.
If you had to be stranded on a desert island with one person, who would you choose?
My husband. Not just because he reads survival books for fun, but his air guitar and knack for storytelling would keep me from panicking.
If you could travel back in time, what year would you go to?
1969. I’d love to have witnessed landing on the moon live on TV. Plus, Woodstock!
What is your favorite book?
The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett was an addictive read from the beginning. I have a soft spot for period piece fiction. It follows the building of a cathedral in England during the 12th century; an amazing feat by today's standard and so remarkable for the time.
What’s your biggest adventure been so far?
I’d say my whole life since April! My husband and I quit our day jobs, sold our house and took off in a small RV to travel for a few months before deciding on a new place to live. We’re five months into that two month trip. We’ve travelled over 8,000 miles, visited 9 National Parks, followed Route 66 and spent weeks on the Pacific coast. It’s been an adventure I’ll never forget made possible by taking a leap I’ll never regret.
How would your friends describe you?
Sarcastic, 10 minutes late, passionate about the planet, and creative!
